In October 2009, my husband and I left Los Angeles to move to New York City. During a 14 days trip, we drove 4129 miles through 17 states and sent 94 postcards across the world. In a journal, we religiously wrote down all the data day by day (mileage and location), but also pieces of conversations, notes about our meals, room numbers we had, gas prices, weather and sometimes the amount of road accidents.

The project appeared in Information Graphics, by Sandra Rendgen and Julius Wiedemann, published by Taschen in 2012. The notes and data we took from our journal featured in Raw Data, Infographic Designers’ Sketchbooks, by Steven Heller and Rick Landers, published by Thames & Hudson, 2014.
